Requirements for Teens Obtaining a Florida Driver License:
Must be at least 16 years old.
Must hold a learner’s license for at least one year (12 months) OR reach age 18, whichever comes first.
A parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult over 21 years old must complete the Certification of Minor Driving Experience Form, certifying that the driver has 50 hours of driving experience, including 10 hours at night. A Practice Log Sheet to track driving experience time will be provided by the school after completion.
NO moving violation convictions for one year from the learner’s license date of issuance (OR may have one moving violation as long as adjudication was withheld).
Must pass the Class E Driving Skills Test.
Testing Options:

**In Office: ** The Class E Driving Skills Test can be taken at a service center.
**Driver License Skills Test Provider: ** The Class E Driving Skills Test can be taken with a driver's license exam provider or a third-party administrator.
Upon passing the Class E Driving Skills Test through a registered third-party administrator, the test information will automatically be submitted to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV), and this information will also be available at all driver's license offices.

The vehicle used for the driving test is the school's vehicle that passes a basic vehicle inspection conducted by a TPA examiner for safety during the driving test.
To obtain a Class E driver's license, customers must pass the Class E Driving Skills Test, which consists of a series of maneuvers used to determine an applicant's ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Learn more about our road test prep packages.
The more hours you choose, the more skills you learn and the better driver you’ll be. If you feel you need more practice, you can always add more hours to your package.
**Important Notes for Road Test Appointments: **
There are no cancellations or refunds for any reason.
No transportation is provided; arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to complete the paperwork.
Upon passing the test, your results will be immediately uploaded to the DMV.
